There’s
more than just a story behind SCI. In fact the founders, Mark
and Fabiola Butcher, met in 1999 through a similar Christian
introduction service. Fabiola, a retail executive in Los Angeles,
found herself with little time to date. |
He remained very busy with work that ultimately left him with
little time to meet a woman serious about her faith in Jesus.
He felt led to seek a Christian introduction service but found
none in the Bakersfield area. This brought him to Los Angeles.
Meeting Fabiola was undoubtedly a life changing experience.
Love knows no boundaries. Mark drove over 300 miles on weekends
and slept on his brother’s living room floor to court
Fabiola.

After
two years, God spoke to each of them and revealed His plan
for their lives. The two married in October 2001. Their family
grew February 14th, 2004, Valentine’s Day, when Falon
Marie was born. |
| She
always lifted up in prayer God’s timing for her to meet
and fall in love. Waiting for the Lord was never a concern for
her, but she considered her options to meeting wonderful Christian
men and signed up through an introduction service. It was through
this service that she met Mark Butcher. |
Listening
intently for God’s plan for their lives, Mark and Fabiola
were lead to offer individuals an opportunity to experience
fellowship and growth with other local like minded Christians.
On May 1, 2004, Single Christian Introductions began serving
Kern and Tulare Counties. |
